Center-left party founded by 2014 and 2018 candidate for mayor of Warsaw, Jan Śpiewak, the popular former Councilor of the Śródmieście District of Warsaw. Party was formed when Śpiewak, the co-founder of another party, the Miasto Jest Nasze (MJN), disowned it. The Free City opposed "reprivatization" efforts in Warsaw and formed a voters' committee, called the KWW Jan Śpiewak - Wygra Warszawa, to elect members of Warsaw's City Council [Wygra Warszawa (WW)].
