Center-left party supporting autonomy for the Trentino region and its German, Ladin-speaking minority. Party allied itself with Lorenzo Dellai's efforts to unite the center-left via his Union for Trentino party, established on June 7, 2008. Division among 'autonomists' within PATT, the majority of whom believing Dellai was actualy holding water for the anti-autonomist Democratic Party (PD), ultimately forced the break up of the planned union in mid-2018, and a fall in PATT's popular support. Party has been led by Italian Senate member Franco Panizza since March 24, 2018. Party holds seven seats in the Trentino Provincial Council [Partito Autonomista Trentino Tirolese (PATT)].
