| Description | Alliance of the Italian Left (Sinistra Italiana, SI), Green Europe (Europa Verde, EV) and the Greens of South Tyrol (VGV) parties launched ahead of general elections planned for September 25, 2022. Alliance at first called itself "New Energies" [Nuove Energie (NE)]. Threats of litigation from a major Italian engineering company of the same name, Nuove Energie SpA, forced the alliance to rename itself on July 26, 2022. Alliance begins with 6 seats out of the 630 in the Italian lower chamber. Alliance is co-led by Nicola Fratoianni of SI, and Angelo Bonelli and Eleonora Evi of EV [Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (AVS)]. |
