| Description | Orthodox Jewish party formed from the dissolved National Union–Tkuma founded in 1998. Party decided on a change of direction after the coalition government of the Likud and Blue and White parties in 2020 forced Tkuma into opposition. One of the first acts of the new party was to take the party out of the Yamina alliance on January 20, 2021. New party sought to unite religious Zionist parties under one banner, which included the Bayit Yehudi and Otzma Yehudit parties. Party was chaired by former Tkuma leader and Minister of Transportation Bezalel Smotrich. Party dissolved upon merging with The Jewish Home to form the National Religious Party - Religious Zionism on August 20, 2023 [HaTzionut HaDatit Tkuma (תקומה;'Revival'); officially known as National Union–Tkuma (האיחוד הלאומי-תקומה; HaIchud HaLeumi–Tkuma)]. |
