Rick Santorum is focusing all his attention on Iowa in the weeks before the Aug. 13 Ames straw poll – and he’s taking his family along for the ride.
Literally.
On Monday, the former Pennsylvania senator is packing his wife Karen and seven children into a multi-car caravan from their Pittsburgh home to the first several of hotels where they’ll be staying until the straw poll. They’ll accompany him to numerous events in dozens of towns including Ankeny, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Marshalltown, Sioux City and Iowa Falls.
The Santorum campaign is dubbing the trip the “Courage to Fight for American Values Tour.” |
