Description | As nuclear capabilities increase in Pacific Rim nations [notably North Korea] and as Taiwan and China relations break down, the Defense Department is moving to make billions of dollars of upgrades and expansions of Hawai'i's military bases, the headquarters of the US Armed Forces Pacific Theater.
Improvements and expansions include: military housing, construction, brand new fleet of C-17 airplanes, new high-tech satellite systems, and preparations for a new aircraft carrier base. |
