DescriptionBURLINGTON, Vt. -- A Burlington newspaper is reporting that Sen. Ed Flanagan is reconsidering his run for lieutenant governor in the wake of recent allegations of lewd conduct at the city YMCA.

"I don't know that I will or will not run for lieutenant governor," the Burlington Free Press reports Flanagan as saying Tuesday.

The longtime state lawmaker and current candidate for Vermont lieutenant governor was accused in late July of masturbating in the locker room at the Burlington YMCA.

The claims, unearthed by Seven Days columnist Shay Totten, come from YMCA patron Tiki Archambeau, who told WPTZ.com he saw Flanagan masturbating on a bench in the men's wellness center -- an adults-only area of the YMCA locker room.
