| Description | REGINA -- Saskatchewan Palliser MP Dave Batters issued a public statement late Wednesday afternoon confirming he is on medical leave.
"I would like to thank all the people who have wished me well during this difficult time,'' Batters said in a prepared statement.
"I am on medical leave as I deal with a serious issue and look forward to a full recovery. At this time, I am focused on getting healthy and will have more to say at a later time. I ask that everyone respect mine and my family's privacy.''
A high-ranking Conservative Party official told the Leader-Post that Batters was in a Regina hospital for undisclosed reasons. He had been admitted to hospital following an incident on July 1. |
