Description | Encouraged by the havoc caused by the Likud vote-buying scandal, Labor kicked off its campaign in Beit She'an yesterday with activists trying to transmit a sense that the election tides have changed.
Labor leader Amram Mitzna visited the city, a Likud stronghold, and told party supporters mostly kibbutz members from the region that not only will he not join a Likud government, but that in the end he will be inviting Ariel Sharon to join a Labor-led national unity government. This government, Mitzna said, will be based on Labor's social, economic, and diplomatic platform.
