Description | Yesterday, Senate candidate Amy Klobuchar was again advertising on the extremist blog Daily Kos. The ad on Daily Kos lead directly to her campaign website where visitors were then asked to sign-up. Today, that ad has mysteriously disappeared.
“The fact that Amy Klobuchar would advertise on a website as openly hate-filled as Daily Kos raises serious concerns about the type of people she is reaching out to for support,” said Heidi Frederickson, press secretary for Mark Kennedy ’06. “Kos has compared President Bush to Osama Bin Laden and has vocally called for the defeat of Senator Joe Lieberman, Al Gore’s running mate in 2000, because he isn’t liberal enough.”
The removal of Klobuchar’s ad from Daily Kos raises several questions. Did Ms. Klobuchar pull her ad due to pressure after yesterday’s release from the National Republican Senatorial Committee? Was Ms. Klobuchar’s ad simply on rotation and that is why it isn’t up today? Taking money from those associated with Daily Kos would seem to be consistent with taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from trial lawyers and the ultra-liberal EMILY's list.
