Description | The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has announced it is endorsing incumbents Ben Arredondo and Len Copple, along with newcomer Shana Ellis, in the Tempe City Council election, citing their record of commitment to local business interests.
“Tempeans are extremely fortunate to have such a qualified field of candidates for city council,” said Tempe Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Mary Ann Miller.
The chamber’s Good Government Committee interviewed all five candidates and then forwarded its recommendation to the chamber executive committee and board, whose members ultimately voted their endorsements.
The committee quizzed the candidates on issues of concern to the Tempe business community, including business retention, the use of incentives and downtown Tempe. |
