Description | I voted at the advance poll. I am, therefore, immune to attack ads and the prognostications of pundits and party Rottweilers. Here are some parting thoughts on Election 2006.
If Paul Martin loses, the chattering classes will try to identify his “tipping point” — that mystical moment when the Liberals started to slide toward electoral oblivion.
Some will point to Martin’s confused campaign, or to his off-the-wall promise to abandon federal use of the “notwithstanding clause” in future constitutional crises. I believe the tipping points (there were more than one) may have come earlier. |
