Description | Hightower enrolls son in private high school
Head of school board should resign now, one candidate says
In the six years since Stephanie Hightower joined the Columbus Board of Education, the district she helps oversee has lost 6,000 students to charter and private schools.
On Wednesday, it lost another: Hightower’s only child.
The board president confirmed yesterday that her son, Cameron Baker, 14, is attending high school at Columbus Academy to prepare for admission to a top-ranked college.
That means not one Columbus school board member has a child enrolled in the district. |
