DescriptionCongressional candidate Laurel Prussing released a poll showing her with a 30-point lead over Democratic challenger Mike Kelleher.

"And no, this was not done by my husband," Prussing said.

The poll, commissioned by Prussing, was conducted Monday through Wednesday by Decision Research of Washington, D.C. It shows Prussing leading Kelleher 58 percent to 28 percent and having 89 percent name recognition.

Bob Meadow, who conducted the poll, said Prussing's lead expanded to 62 percent to 21 percent after respondents were informed about Prussing's positions in the course of the 15-minute interviews.

"You have a commanding lead over Mike Kelleher," Meadows told Prussing. "This lead is all the more impressive considering the late start to your campaign compared to the Kelleher campaign.

"With your strongly favorable name recognition and broad support among the voters, the limited number of undecided voters, and the fact that less than two months remain before the election, your lead is virtually insurmountable," he said.
