Description | State Sen. Dale Righter, R-Mattoon, was finally able to get a look at the state's $250 million contract with pharmacy benefit manager Caremark, after a Cook County judge ordered that the document be released by 5 p.m. Monday.
"This should send a clear message to the administration that keeping secrets from the public – our constituents – is not in accordance with the spirit or the letter of the law," Righter said in a written release. "Allowing a vendor and an administrator to decide what knowledge the taxpayers are privy to would set a dangerous precedent." |
