DescriptionThis riding has existed since the 1914 election. It's in southwest Manitoba, with Lake Manitoba as its eastern and northern boundaries. The riding includes Gladstone, Neepawa, Ste. Rose du Lac and Westbourne. Neepawa, the self-declared World Lily Capital, is the birthplace of author Margaret Laurence.

The population in 2001 was 18,955. The average family income was $41,126, with an unemployment rate of 5.9 per cent. The major industry was agriculture (30.2%) followed by health and social services (14.8%).
