DescriptionThis is the most easterly Quebec City riding. It consists of that part of Quebec City east of the boundary of the former City of Charlesbourg, Autoroute 40 and Autoroute Laurentienne.

Tourism, the service sector and manufacturing are all important to the economy of the area. The average family income is $50,722, with an unemployment rate of 8.9 per cent.

According to the 2001 census, rented dwellings exceed owned, 60 per cent to 40 per cent. Almost 94 per cent of the population cited French as their mother tongue, while less than one per cent spoke English. The total immigrant population is less than three per cent.

In 2004, the riding was named Beauport and created from 54 per cent of Beauport-Montmorency-Orléans riding, 37 per cent of Quebec riding and six per cent of Quebec East. Montmorency riding existed from 1867 to 1914 and was recreated in 1966. The riding name changed to Beauport-Montmorency-Orléans in 1990 and to Beauport-Montmorency-Côte-de-Beaupré-Ile-d'Orléans in 1998.
