The Chairman leads the executive body of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. The Chairman and his or her cabinet is accountable to both the President of Georgia and the Supreme Council of Adjara. The President of Georgia will submit the candidature of the Chairman of the Government to the Supreme Council for approval.
