Description This southwestern Ontario riding includes the city of Sarnia and part of Lambton County. The towns of Petrolia and Plympton-Wyoming, the villages of Oil Springs and Point Edward and the townships of Enniskillen and St. Clair fall within the riding. The St. Clair River is the western boundary and Lake Huron lies to the north. Sarnia Indian Reserve No. 45 is included.

The riding is primarily urban with an economy focused on petrochemicals and refined petroleum products and many service industries. There is also some agriculture. Average family income is $68,829 and unemployment is 6.9 per cent.

Sarnia riding was created in 1966 from the riding of Lambton West. The name changed to Sarnia-Lambton in 1970, then to Sarnia in 1976 and back to Sarnia-Lambton in 1981. In 2004, part of the Lambton-Kent-Middlesex riding was added in the northeast.
