A 1950 graduate of Joplin Senior High, Rep. Gaskill received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1954, an MBA from Auburn University in 1972, and an associate degree in agriculture from Crowder College in 1978. Rep. Gaskill served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1976 as a fighter pilot, comptroller, and intelligence officer. Following his military service, Rep. Gaskill worked as a realtor/ appraiser in Carthage, MO and began ranching in 1976.
Born March 8, 1932, in Joplin, Rep. Gaskill has two children, Cheryl Dobson and Carrie Gaskill.
