Carew, and reelected to the seven succeeding Congresses (April 11, 1930-January 3, 1945); unsuccessful for renomination in 1944; resumed the real estate and insurance business; died on October 27, 1955, in New York City, N.Y.; interment in Calvary Cemetery, Maspeth, Long Island, N.Y.
