InfoI am seeking election for the Peace River South constituency. I have lived in Dawson Creek for 27 years. I am married with 3 sons. I have worked at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital for the past 8.5 years; my job is Unit Clerk.

My youngest son graduates this year and I feel I now have the time to be an effective voice for the communities in our constituency.

Volunteering is a huge part of communities; if it were not for volunteers, many events would not take place.

I was the Secretary for our local Canadian Cancer Society and for the Paradise Valley Snowmobile Association for a number of years. I was also a Block parent. I have volunteered for the senior summer and junior winter Games. I also volunteered for many school activities my children were involved in. Then there were the minor hockey years with the boys.

My recent work for my community resulted in a sidewalks being installed on 17th street, from 108th to 116th Ave. There are 3 schools, 3 churches and a senior citizens complex on the west side of 17th street. It seemed to me to be common sense that we needed sidewalks on this particular street. Our families, especially children and seniors, need a safe place to walk.

I had listened to people in our community comment on the lack of sidewalks numerous times. The petition I presented to city council will make these sidewalks happen.

I recognize that it is a big step from local community activities to provincial matters. I believe I have the strength of character and moral fortitude needed to represent Peace River South to the province.

I look forward to your support in helping me to represent our communities in the Political arena.
