Info | A lifelong resident of El Monte and graduate of Arroyo High School, Quintero earned his BA in political science from UC Riverside. While there, Quintero served as the Student Body President and was also President /Chair of the UC Student Association, representing more than 160,000 students statewide. He was one of 18 students selected to participate in the prestigious Senate Fellows Program, a graduate fellowship in Sacramento. Quintero went on to earn his JD from UCLA School of Law and concurrently received an MA in Urban Planning from the School of Public Policy and Social Research.
Quintero has worked for the General Counsel’s Office of the Los Angeles Community College District and is currently employed as an associate with the Pasadena law firm of Glauber/Berenson specializing in Worker's Compensation Law. In March 2004, Quintero was appointed by the California State Senate to serve on the Senate Advisory Commission on Cost Control in State Government.
Quintero has extensive and long-standing ties to the community. He is a member of several local community organizations including the El Monte Coalition of Latino Professionals, Amigos de Los Rios and the El Monte/South El Monte Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
