There are only a handful of Public Relations and Marketing Firms headed by someone breadth of experience in law, business, government and community affairs. An attorney with the office of South Carolina Senate Research, Floyd drafted legislation and regulations and worked with the senate. She subsequently worked as a prosecuter with the Seventh Judicial Court and was eventually elected Spartanburg County's youngest-ever Chief Magistrate. Floyd later became a vice president for Flagstar Corporation, a publicly traded holding company for seven restaurant chains with over 150,000 employees. In addition, she became Spartanburg County Council's first female chairperson, a seat elected countywide. Meanwhile, she serves as a board member for the state Department of Natural Resources, the Spartanburg County Economic Development Council, the Greater Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce, and Spartanburg's Arts Partnership. She is a recipient of the state's highest award, The Order of the Palmetto. Floyd is fluent in colloquial Arabic and the French language.
