Info | DAVID HALL was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on October 20, 1930. Hall received a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 1952 and a LL.B. from the University of Tulsa Law School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1954, and was a captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, Judge Advocate General Division. Hall served as Assistant Tulsa County Attorney from 1959 to 1962 and Tulsa County Attorney from 1962 to 1966. He was elected governor of Oklahoma in 1970. During his tenure, Governor Hall served on the National Governors' Conference Executive Committee from 1972 to 1973. As his term ended in early 1975, Oklahoma Governor David Hall didn't have time to reflect on his tenure as the state's chief executive. Three days later, Hall was indicted by a federal grand jury for violations of antiracketeering statutes while he was the state's chief executive. The trial marked the first time an Oklahoma governor was convicted of criminal acts committed while in office.
