Served as president of Ringgold County Fair and as past president and secretary of Clarke County 4-H Fair Association. Chairman of boys county 4-H committee for three years. 4-H club leader for 20 years. President and secretary of independent school district for several years. Served as vice-president of county Farm Bureau. Member of Methodist Church board and has served as veterans instructor of institutional on farm training program of the Osceola public school since 1948. Operates 260-acre farm, breeder of purebred Angus cattle and Duroc hogs. Serving his third term.
