Info | I’m a Littleton City Council member, therapist, social worker, Sunday school teacher, musician, and advocate. I love our community and am excited to be the next State Representative for House District 38!
In 2021, I was elected to the Littleton City Council for a four-year term. I served the first two years as Mayor Pro Tem.
I was raised by two school teachers and am the granddaughter of two mechanical engineers who started their own small businesses. I was named after my grandma, who is 99 years old. Endurance is in the genes!
I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) at Brigham Young University and my Masters in Social Work (MSW) at Howard University. I hold a license in clinical social work (LCSW) and a license in addiction counseling (LAC).
I spent two years working at a crisis walk-in clinic before transitioning to outpatient therapy. Now, specializing in trauma and addiction, I counsel individuals, couples, and groups at a community mental health center. I am honored to learn from my clients as they navigate challenges and step forward in resilience.
Prior to obtaining my MSW, I worked for a human rights organization in Washington, D.C. advancing the rights of LGBTQ+ people, protecting refugees, and fighting human trafficking. I also served on the board of the InterFaith Council of Metropolitan Washington.
Playing the violin and viola is a way I connect with and bring peace to those around me. I love performing with others, am a member of the Denver Pops Orchestra, and play regularly for my church.
