Info | John Spina is a first-generation Italian-Canadian, born in Toronto. He holds a Degree of Bachelor of Administration from Lakehead University, and a Red Seal Certificate of Qualification as a Powerline Technician. Over his 30+ years in the electrical utility industry, John rose from a Powerline Technician to Director in Operations. His customer focus, integrity, solid management skills and commitment to excellence will create a strong voice for Milton residents. John’s life is grounded in family values, faith, and commitment to his community. Over the past two years, John has volunteered with the Mama Bears Project to help build a support network for Halton residents and neighbouring communities. He is an advocate for children’s health and wellbeing sharing resources to help parents keep their kids safe. John believes Ontario is at a pivotal crossroad in history. Like many Ontarians, he has become increasingly frustrated with our current government’s fiscal irresponsibility, lack of integrity, disregard for accountability to constituents, and government policies driven by unelected bureaucrats, lobbyists and special interest groups. John believes in a balanced approach to decision making based on sound triple bottom line analysis and consultation with constituents and key stakeholders. Since government policy affects millions of residents, it’s important to get it right. Governments have a responsibility to their citizens to develop policies in a fair and transparent manner that benefits society without compromising the rights of the individual. Ontarians deserve more than backroom political deals and unsustainable debt levels that will lead to high taxes and diminished opportunities. In Ontario, it’s time for a change in how we do politics. John is passionately committed to bringing about that change. Elected officials must be held accountable to the people they serve and uphold their duty to listen to, and represent their constituents respectfully, transparently, and in a lawful manner. Let John fight for you.
