| Info | Gillian Rowley is a hard working community activist. She has served on the Yarmouth School Board and the Southwest Regional School Board. She was also a member of the School Advisory Council for South Centennial School and YCMHS.
When Gillian realized that some children in the community were going to school hungry, she organized a breakfast program at South Centennial School. She has operated this program for the last ten years, and it has become a model for breakfast programs in other areas.
Gillian is now working with others in the community to secure a medical clinic for the Yarmouth area. Her concerns about health care are what motivated her to become a candidate for the NDP in this election.
Gillian was born in England and immigrated to Canada as a child. She grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Gillian and her husband Walter live in Yarmouth. Their daughters, Deborah, Jennifer and Kim all graduated from Yarmouth schools, and their son Wally currently attends Yarmouth Junior High.
