| Info | From his work supporting children in the community, to that of a worker advocate and anti-globalization activist, David Laird has earned a reputation as someone who cares and gets things done.
A graduate of York University, he is currently a Child Protection Worker with the Children's Aid Society (CAS) of Toronto. He started his career working with young offenders and adolescents in residential treatment settings, and also worked for several years counseling children and families in the community.
A member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), he was active as a union representative, Treasurer and national and provincial convention delegate.
During the last eight years David has developed a passion for international trade and foreign relations policy and is a cyber activist in the anti-globalization movement.
David ran in the last provincial election as the NDP candidate.
David lives in Burlington with his wife and two children.
