| Info | Kristin’s family has deep roots in dairy farming and the paper industry.
She learned from a young age how to show up for her community. She was a young mother when she entered medical school at the University of Wisconsin, relying on the help of neighbors and friends to balance the demands of home, work, and school. During her training, she received multiple awards for exemplary performance, teaching, and clinical practice.
By the time she graduated with her M.D. and a Master’s in Public Health, Kristin had four kids under the age of 10. Despite being told that obstetrics and gynecology could be a difficult concentration for someone with a busy home life, Kristin was called to care for women and their families.
