I have held the following public office: Councilmember, District 7, Oakland; Vice Mayor, City of Oakland; Chairman, Oakland Housing Authority; Chairman, Oakland Business Development Corp.; Chairman, Community Economic Development Advisory Commission, Oakland; Member, Community Policing Advisory Board, Oakland; Member, City Loan Review Committee, Oakland.
Statement of general qualifications: · Graduated from Fremont High and Merritt College; Stanford University and UCB's Boalt Law School. · Served Oakland Community for four decades as: Partner -- Harrison, Taylor, & Bazile law practice; Councilmember -- District 7 and Vice Mayor; Legislative Assistant -- State Senator George Moscone; Assistant -- Secretary for Legislative Affairs; TV Host -- KSBT Channel 37; Lecturer -- Merritt College; Chairman/Board Member -- Housing Authority; Business Development Corp; Community Economic Development, and Community Policing Advisory Boards; City Loan Review Committee; Mayor's Education Cabinet; Oakland Sharing the Vision, Inc.; 5th Century Development Corporation; Traveller's Aid Society of Alameda; East Bay Perinatal Council; and MAPP Coalition. · Received these Community Awards: E. C.
