Following high school, Mark attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. In addition to being active in the federal government through internships in Congress and the White House, Mark played varsity football for the Hoyas. He graduated cum laude with degrees in Government and History. Mark helped pay for his education by working four summers in the plant at Spartan Chemical.
Mark came home to Ohio to study law, attending The Ohio State University College of Law. While in law school, Mark was elected by his peers to serve as the president of the Student Bar Association the governing body for the students in the law school.
