| Info | The Alberta First Party was formed in 1999 to give Albertans a credible voice through which to participate in their government. The party is based upon the time honoured principles of freedom of choice, self-governance, and individual responsibility. In all aspects, our principles and policies reflect the absolute need to empower and protect the individual and the institutions within which he or she matures (i.e.: the family).
By standing on a platform of free votes, citizen referendum, and voter recall, Alberta First wishes to reform the way that government functions in the province and put citizens in control of making their own decisions. Alberta First believes in a publicly funded health care system where the money follows the patient directly instead of being placed in the hands of unaccountable health authorities.
The Alberta First Party believes in creating an economic climate where all Albertans have access to quality employment and prosperity. To do this requires a healthy and thriving private sector. Alberta First supports the concept of free enterprise and believes that government should not be involved in owning or operating competitive business.
