Info | Gayle Pacheco was elected to the Mt. San Antonio Community College Board of Trustees in 1999. Mt. SAC is the largest single campus community college in the state with an annual budget in excess of $102 million dollars. In 2002, she was chosen by her peers to serve as President of the Board.
Gayle is the President and owner of Western Hardware Company, which manufactures and distributes truck, trailer and industrial hardware. The company continues thriving in a slumping economy with annual sales exceeding $2 million.
In 2001 she was chosen by the Economic Development Council as an outstanding woman business owner and in 1997, Gayle was named Woman of the Year by both the San Gabriel Valley YWCA and YWCA West End Chapter.
While working for The Gas Company in Orange County, Gayle attended Orange Coast Community College and later earned her Jurist Doctorate from Western State School of Law in Fullerton. She currently is an active member of the California State Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the California Republican Lawyers Association.
An active member of the community, Gayle serves on the Walnut Valley Unified School District Personnel Commission and was appointed Chairman in 2002. She is Vice-President and co-founder of the Walnut Valley Educational Foundation. She is also a member of several local Chambers of Commerce, the Industry Manufacturers Council and the National Association of Women Business Owners, Orange County Chapter.
A loyal Republican, Gayle was a Bush/Cheney volunteer, is a member of the California Republican Party, a member of the Orange County, San Gabriel Valley, Southeast, and San Bernardino Chapters of the California Lincoln Clubs, a Golden Circle Member, and is a lifelong member of Republican Women Federated.
Gayle and her husband Bob have been married for nearly 20 years. Bob currently represents the residents of the 60th Assembly District, which includes the cities of La Mirada, Whittier, La Habra Heights, Rowland Heights, Walnut, San Dimas, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, La Habra, Villa Park, Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills and the city of Orange.
They have two children, David and Cristina. The family attends St. Lorenzo Catholic Church in Walnut, where Gayle is the director of the children�s choir and a member of the Parish Advisory Committee.
In February, Gayle announced her candidacy for the 60th Assembly District. Her platform focuses on cutting wasteful government spending, improving schools for our children and making our neighborhoods safer for our community.
