| Info | Ralph Russell recently retired after 44 years with HR Green, Inc., formerly Howard R. Green Company. Russell started at Green after graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Ralph is a licensed engineer in Iowa and several other states. He worked his entire professional career with HR Green. He served Green as its President and CEO for 26 years.
Russell is active in professional, business, and civic organizations. He has been active in the Iowa Engineering Society, serving seven years on the executive committee and one year as President. He was a member of the board of directors for seven years and has served as President of the Consulting Engineers Council of Iowa. Ralph also has served for six years on the Iowa State University Engineering College Advisory Board. He also was on the board of directors for seven years and is a past president of Brucemore, the National Trust for Historic Preservation property in Cedar Rapids. Ralph recently completed eight years on the Board of Directors of the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce including one year as Board Chairman during the 2008 flood in Cedar Rapids. He also served as Co-Chair of the Cedar Rapids Community School District School Efficiency Task Force.
In addition, he has served on the Boards of Wells Fargo Bank (Cedar Rapids), Renaissance Group (Cedar Rapids Downtown Business Group), Greater Downtown Association of C.R., the Grant Wood Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Metro YMCA of Cedar Rapids, the East Central Iowa Council of Governments, the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, the Hawkeye Area Council of Boys Scouts of America, the Iowa Engineering Foundation, St. Luke’s Hospital (Cedar Rapids), the Cedar Rapids City Planning Commission and has served as a Board Advisor for Erdman Anthony and Associates, a consulting engineering firm with offices in NY, PA and FL.
He also served on the board of directors and as chairman of Priority One, the Cedar Rapids area’s economic development organization and the Board of Directors of the Linn Area BizPAC.
