Info | Frank K. Dunn was born in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, November 13, 1854. He received his education at Kenyon College and at Harvard Law School, graduating from the former institution in 1873 and from the latter in 1875. He was admitted to the bar of Ohio in 1875 and spent three years in partnership with his father, who was judge of the Court of Common Pleas. He came to Charleston in 1878 and was engaged in the practice of his profession until his election to the Circuit Bench in 1897. At the expiration of his term as Circuit Judge, he resumed practice until his election in June, 1907, to the Supreme Court to fill vacancy caused by the death of Judge Wilkin. He was re-elected in 1915 and 1924.
