| Info | Dave Peiser grew up in North Babylon, New York. He is the eldest of three children of Norman and Rose Peiser. Dave’s father, a retired health insurance sales executive, grew up in the Bronx. His mother, a homemaker who later worked as an accountant, was born and spent her early years in China, where many Jews found safety from persecution during the first half of the 20th century. Her family left China in 1948 and made their way to New York.
Peiser has a family legacy of engagement in electoral politics, including his father’s run for County Legislator on Long Island, against an entrenched Republican incumbent. Peiser worked for several campaigns in the 2012 election, including a Congressional campaign in the 49th congressional district.
Education and Employment Experience
Dave holds a Master of Business Administration degree from New York’s Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Peiser worked at the international company Siemens Medical in New Jersey and in California. He spent two years working for Siemens-Elema in Solna, Sweden, where, as Product Manager, he managed the marketing and development of an Angiographic Analysis and Reporting System with annual sales of $2.5M. He also managed worldwide support for a Cath Lab Recording System with 700 installations worldwide.
After various healthcare related positions and consulting engagements, Dave founded Peiser Solutions in 2001 - an IT consulting firm servicing small businesses primarily in San Diego County. In 2008, Peiser co-founded Greenliness.com, an online retail business providing earth-friendly sustainable products and education.
Community, Civic and Political Engagement
DaveEncinitas1_400px.jpgFrom 2004-2008, Dave served on the Board of Directors of the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce, including two years as membership chair. He became an active member of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce in 2002.
