Info | Nancy and her family live in London North Centre, where she has represented the local community on London City Council since 2006.
Nancy is a busy City Councilor and the mother of three children. When elected to Queen’s Park, Nancy will work to protect the interests of London North Centre’s families. Like other parents, she and her husband Ken Kalopsis worry about how decisions at the provincial level can reduce opportunities for people in London to chart their own prosperous future. That is why she is seeking to become a sitting member of the provincial parliament – to get more done for London.
Nancy is an active and recognized community leader. She is a past president of the Children’s Bridge Foundation and a fundraiser for Boys and Girls Club Foundation. She is also a strong patron of the arts. This is in addition to the leadership role she has played on London’s City Council in shifting the city’s budget planning policy, so that taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars are better protected.
When elected to Queen’s Park, Nancy will work to eliminate waste and increase efficiency in government. She knows that Ontario’s working families feel overwhelmed by high taxes. From her own experience, Nancy also knows about the difficulties many families face in helping aging parents navigate the health care bureaucracy. She will therefore focus on the need to ensure seniors’ interests are better addressed by the provincial health ministry.
