| Info | Naoshad is a partner in Robert M. Livie Insurance Agencies Inc. He has lived in Ontario for 15 years and worked with numerous charities in Canada and abroad. He has owned and advised a number of small businesses in Ontario and is very cognizant of the challenges they face. Naoshad believes that businesses exist both to generate profit and to enhance the quality of life of the communities in which they operate. The government’s role is to support and enable these objectives; not to hamper them with unnecessary red tape or unfair practises.
Disgusted by political vote mongering, broken promises and decisions based on ideology rather than results or the common good Naoshad looked at the various options and discovered the Green Party and its platform. Believing it to be pragmatic, democratic and representing his values and those of most Canadians he volunteered to represent them in this election.
Naoshad, and the Green Party, promote effective & sustainable methodologies that allow for increased production, reduced wastage and ultimately lower costs. He believes in investment in sustainable infrastructure that will create jobs in the short term, while increasing revenue in the long term.
Naoshad is a proud supporter of the Ontario Mental Health & Addiction Alliance's platform to help improve the quality of health care and harm reduction in Ontario.
Naoshad Pochkhanawala is a proud resident of Ontario, running for office because he believes that:
Ontarians shouldn’t have to wait months to get medically necessary tests;
Ontarians shouldn’t have to do without basic necessities in order to heat their homes;
Ontario’s economy should be diversified so that it isn’t completely dependent on any other country’s economy or actions; and
Education in Ontario should be affordable
and that includes relevant jobs for those who graduate from our universities colleges and schools
Ontario businesses of all sizes should have a government that helps & rewards growth and innovation
Naoshad is committed to ensuring that Ontarians receive the health care they need and that their pensions don't evaporate. He finds it ludicrous that in Canada, 60% of people live from pay cheque to pay cheque.
