InfoJoseph Robinette "Joe" Biden, Jr.

Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., was born November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the first of four siblings. In 1953, the Biden family moved from Pennsylvania to Claymont, Delaware. He graduated from the University of Delaware and Syracuse Law School and served on the New Castle County Council. Then, at age 29, he became one of the youngest people ever elected to the United States Senate.

Just weeks after the election, tragedy struck the Biden family, when Biden's wife, Neilia, and their 1-year old daughter, Naomi, were killed and their two young sons critically injured in an auto accident. Biden was sworn in at his sons' hospital bedside and began commuting to Washington every day by train, a practice he maintained throughout his career in the Senate.

In 1977, Biden married Jill Jacobs. Jill Biden, who holds a Ph.D. in Education, has been an educator for over two decades in Delaware's schools. Vice President Biden has three children: Beau, Hunter, and Ashley. Beau serves as Delaware's Attorney General and is currently deployed to Iraq as a Captain in the 261st Signal Brigade of the Delaware National Guard. Ashley is a social worker and Hunter is an attorney. Vice President Biden has five grandchildren: Naomi, Finnegan, Roberta Mabel ("Maisy"), Natalie, and Robert Hunter.

As a Senator from Delaware for 36 years, Biden has been a leader on some of our nation's most important domestic and international challenges. As Chairman or Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee for 17 years, Biden was widely recognized for his work on criminal justice issues including the landmark 1994 Crime Bill and the Violence Against Women Act. As Chairman or Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee since 1997, Biden played a pivotal role in shaping U.S. foreign policy. He has been at the forefront of issues and legislation related to terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, post-Cold War Europe, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.

E Pluribus Unum: Racists are garbage.

If that is a hot take to you, then I have bad news for you......

Don't get me wrong, I feel that Trump is indeed racist garbage. In fact, he's way worse than just racist garbage. And his biggest supporters enable him. But that's for a different conversation. All I was saying was that POLITICIANS who have significant sway over the public, especially the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, shouldn't be adding more fuel to the fire. And that shouldn't be controversial. But apparently it is.

The fire he is fueling, being.....RACISM IS GARBAGE. ooooooOOOOoooOOoOoooOOOOOo

It isn't a different conversation, that is LITERALLY what Biden called out. Trump OK'd a guy at his rally calling Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans garbage to hundreds of people, which was cheered by his supporters, then called the people who did that GARBAGE. In fact if you look at the official transcript of the remarks he says "The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s", As in THE garbage they spew. And yes Trump supporters spread MASSIVE amounts of Garbage. I am currently cursed with living with some of them.

I am SICK and tired of coddling Trump Supporters like ****ing infants, they can say all the **** they want "gay people are pedophiles" "latinos are rapists" "hatians are eating your pets" "muslims are terrorists", they can joke about Biden/Kamala being kidnapped and Paul Pelosi being murdered; but when anyone REMOTELY calls them out, the fingers are wagged at us for being "DIVISIVE". The Left and Liberals are the ones who are supposed to just sit there let them say whatever the **** they want then come over to THEM to bridge ****ing divides. **** THAT BULL****

Trump and his supporters have had 8 ****ing years to prove they are not deplorable pieces of garbage, AND THEY FAILED.

We all agree his supporters are garbage, Biden's quote most likely included an apostrophe when it's being reported as though it did not, but yes this every Democrat needs to disavow this epic flub or I'm voting for Rapey Mc****shispants

Oh ok. Even after seeing news reports, I originally wasn't aware of that apostrophe in the transcript. In that case he is absolutely correct. That's an error on my part.

But I still do believe that there shouldn't be more fuel added to the fire, regardless of which side is dumping it. I understand your concerns about MAGA's rhetoric, as over here in my area there's already rumors of voter fraud and they're already preparing to reject the results of the upcoming election (if Trump loses). I've seen people lose friendships over politics, especially more so nowadays, and it's very saddening.

Believe me, I feel you and I understand your concerns. It really sickens me that people can just blindly follow a man with dozens of felony charges and the crap that he spews. But all we can do right now is just hope for the best, and hope Trump goes down in November.

Congresswoman and Michigan Senate Nominee Elissa Slotkin becomes the third politician to condemn Biden's remarks. Another politician from either a swing state or in a tough race that does this (in her case it's both). I wonder how many more are going to comment.
