Info | Born, raised and educated in Los Angeles, John Noguez joined the County Assessor’s Department 25 years ago as a student worker, rising through the ranks to become an Appraiser Specialist for major properties from office buildings and malls to hotels, apartments and homes.
John attended Roosevelt High, Cal State University, Los Angeles, and holds an Advanced Appraiser Certificate from the California State Board of Equalization. He is currently a Special Assistant to retiring County Assessor Rick Auerbach.
John’s experience includes a broad range of assessment duties and a remarkable understanding about how to value property and use the latest technology to do it efficiently and fairly.
He has also established excellent working relationships as the Assessor’s liaison with realty boards, community and homeowner groups. He supports Proposition 13 as the primary protection of tax stability for all residential and commercial property owners.
At age 45, John has achieved non-partisan leadership roles in government, including President of the League of California Cities, Los Angeles Division, as well as Secretary Treasurer of the California Contract Cities Association.
John Noguez is committed to cost-effective management, accuracy and public service. He has represented the people of Huntington Park since 2000, as Mayor, Member of the City Council and as City Clerk. John Noguez is known for recognizing and meeting constituent needs.
