InfoSteve was born in New York City in 1943 and earned BS, MA, PhD, and PhD degrees in Fine Arts and Educational Administration. He has been a teacher and school administrator for 37 years at all levels from grade school to college. In 2002 he and his wife, Rita, came to the Erie, Pennsylvania area where Steve teaches Fine Arts at a local college.

Steve has been a lifelong Democrat. He became active in 1968 when he worked on the Presidential campaign of Senator Robert Kennedy. In 1990 he was asked to represent the Democratic Party in the New York State Senate race in the 51st district. In a Conservative district with a 3-to-1 Republican advantage, he ran four times, garnering tens of thousands of votes in each race. Now he is running for Congress in the 3rd CD of Pennsylvania.
