Born 4/21/1796 in Leicester MA; parents were Pliny & Patience (Buffington) Earle.
Married Mary Hussey in 7/1820; five children.
Attended Leicester Academy; worked as clerk in Earle & Chase Co. in Worcester MA, 1816.
Studied law with John Sergeant [Link] . Admitted to the bar in 1825.
Editor of newspapers the Columbian Observer, The Standard, The Mechanic's Free Press and Reform Advocate, and The Pennsylvanian.
Counsel for the Pennsylvania Society for Promoting the Abolition of Slavery 1826-1849
Delegate to the Pennsylvania state constitutional convention of 1837
Candidate for US Vice President 1840 on the Liberty (Abolition) Party ticket with James G. Birney. Although he declined the honor, the party did not replace him on its slates of Presidential Electors.
Died in Philadelphia on 7/14/1849.
