Info | Eavenson was a local leader of the movement for governmental regulation of alcohol and intoxicants.
In his race for Mayor of Philadelphia in 1899, Eavenson advocated the standard party principles of anti-alcohol and good government but also was an advocate of a pure water supply and the construction of additional schools in the City (Philadelphia Times, 2/19/1899).
Candidate for Presidential Elector (Prb-PA) on Chafin-Watkins ticket in 1908
Died on 1/28/1914, buried in Fernwood Cemetery, Delaware County Pa.
