| Info | Freeholder John C. Bartlett Jr. serves as chairman of Finance and of the Department of Parks and Recreation. Each year Freeholder Bartlett works to create a county budget that provides services to more than 510,000 county residents at a reasonable cost and a stable county property tax rate. Under his direction, the Ocean County Parks system has quadrupled in size and grown into the finest in the state. Construction of a new park and sports complex in Little Egg Harbor Township is under way. Under his leadership, Ocean County has preserved and protected more than 2,500 acres of natural lands through the Ocean County Natural Lands Trust Fund Program.
