| Info | Pacek is a Greensburg native whose family’s roots in Westmoreland County date to the mid 1800’s. As a boy he attended Blessed Sacrament Cathedral School and graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic High School in 1989. He then enrolled at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, graduating magna cum laude in 1992 after three years. He briefly considered the priesthood, and was a seminarian at St. Vincent’s in 1992 and 1993. He obtained his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh in 1999.
He also is a veteran, serving from 1993 - 2001 and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy reserves with the rank of Lieutenant.
Prior to accepting the position as Assistant D.A., Pacek served as Chief Law Clerk for the late Pennsylvania Superior Court Judge John P. Hester. In that arena he supervised three law clerks, and he was involved in drafting hundreds of published and memorandum opinions on a wide range of matters involving Family, Civil and Criminal cases. He also served as an Arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau.
As an Assistant District Attorney he has prosecuted over 1,800 criminal cases in Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court.
Pacek stays active in community affairs. He is a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and holds membership in the VFW (Post 33), American Legion (Post 981), Knights of Columbus (Council #1480), and Moose (Greensburg chapter), as well as the NRA. Pacek is also known for his skill as pianist and chess player. Unmarried, he is the son of Joe and Judy Pacek of Unity Township and maintains a home in North Greensburg, Hempfield Township.
