| Info | Kevin Hermening, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) has operated his own financial planning firm in central Wisconsin since 1989, and is the Branch Manager of the Wausau branch office of First Financial Planners, Inc., and FFP Securities, Inc. The principal of the local Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction, he supervises six brokers statewide who are affiliated with his branch office.
As a Registered Principal with FFP Securities, Inc., a First Financial Planners, Inc. firm, Kevin Hermening has earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, licensed as a General Securities Representative (S7), and General Securities Principal (S24).
Kevin Hermening is licensed with the National Association of Securities Dealers and registered with the SEC to offer investment securities products and investment advisory services as a fee-based planner, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association. Prior to opening his practice, he was a regional sales manager with Wisconsin Independent Businesses, Inc., a Madison-based company lobbying state government on behalf of small business, and worked as the advertising sales manager for Milwaukee Public Television from 1981 - 1986.
Kevin is an accomplished public speaker, having addressed more than 2,700 audiences nationwide over the past 15 years, often about his Marine Corps experiences as the youngest of the 52 Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days from 1979 - 1981. He served a total of 13 years in the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve, and was discharged in 1994.
He has been involved in national, state, and local politics for many years, and has twice been a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives and the Wisconsin State Legislature. He is a member of several local civic organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement.
Kevin Hermening and his wife of years, Wendy, have two daughters, Kacey (12) and Kaitlyn (9). They reside in Mosinee, Wisconsin.
