Info | JORDEN, Edwin James, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Spring Hill, near Towanda, Bradford County, Pa., August 30, 1863; attended the common schools and Keystone Academy; was graduated from the State Normal School at Mansfield, Pa.; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1888 and commenced practice in Tunkhannock, Pa.; elected as a Republican to the Fifty-third Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Myron B. Wright and served from February 23 until March 4, 1895; was not a candidate for renomination in 1894; resumed the practice of his profession; died in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, Pa., September 7, 1903; interment in Sunnyside Cemetery.
