Jerry Frink is a gay rights advocate and a peacemaker, but the Secretary of State refused to let him define himself as a Gay Peacemaker, so he has no occupation listed on the ballot. Jerry received a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin where he became involved with the anti-war movement, and peace marches and demonstrations have been part of his life ever since. He taught public school music in Wisconsin for five years before deciding to move to California. Jerry moved to Sacramento, and learned a lot about how government actually works during 25 years as an Information Technician in the State Controller’s office. Now that he is retired, Jerry has become active in several peace organizations. He is known widely in the peace movement for wearing a feather boa at weekly street corner peace vigils. Jerry ran for State Assembly in the 9th District in 2008. In 2010 he is the Peace and Freedom Party candidate for Congress in the 5th District, basically composed of the City of Sacramento.
